USING HANDCUFFS

Handcuffs are a mainstay in bondage gear. Every fetish toy box should have at least one sturdy, durable pair. They are intimidating, fun, and so very useful.

If you want to explore bondage play, handcuffs are a nice way to play. You can use the handcuffs to bind your partner or use some misdirection. Prepare your partner for play and produce the handcuffs, promising bondage. Let your partner feel the cool metal on his or her skin and talk about the tight restraints to build up anticipation.

Apply a blindfold before binding your partner. Shake the cuffs playfully, as though you are loosening them, and then apply a different form of bondage – perhaps a silk scarf from your pocket.

For bondage purposes, the handcuffs are very versatile. Use them alone to limit the motion of hands. Combine them with your headboard or under-bed restraint system to restrain your partner into one position. You can also combine them with rope to create different restraint positions for your partner to be held in.

• When playing with handcuffs, your partner’s safety and comfort are important. Be sure that the cuffs are not too tight. If you are combining the cuffs with restraints, remember that pressure from the restraints can make even loose cuffs cut off circulation. Watch your partner for cooling or discolored fingers.
